Getting Around Guam
Guam Public Transportation – You can get around Guam by public transit which connects most of the island’s villages. To date, there are 9 routes and the standard fare is $3.00 a day. But I found that public transit isn’t the most reliable and you are better off to travel by the red trolley buses that cater to tourists.
Tour and Shopping Buses. These are great. They offer several different passes. If you plan to visit for at least a week, I recommend the red trolley buses. You can get a one-week pass that is only $8.00 and allows you unlimited rides on any of the routes for a full 7 days. The other option is a one day pass for $5.00. The red trolleys will take you to Micronesia Mall, KMART, Guam Premier Outlet and other stores and malls. The Guam Gray line has shuttles that take you to the Fish Eye Marine Park, Chamarro Village, Two Lovers Point and more. The DFS Galleria (Duty Free Shop) has its own bus that offers complimentary service from Guam’s major hotels.
Taxi Cabs - We only used these to get to and from the airport because they are really expensive.
