The Sights of Guam

Guam Shopping

Guam Shopping Centers and Stores

As I stated in my welcome message, I was amazed to discover that this small island was loaded with designer shops!  If you love duty free shopping, then you will love Guam!  Adding to this, there is also no sales tax!  The island is a shopping Mecca for tourists.  Because of its close proximity to the major Asian cities, it is easy for the Koreans, Japanese, Chinese and other Asian peoples to visit and pick up great deals on luxury apparel.  A lot of the merchandise can be purchased for considerably less than other places in the world.  For Guam, shopping is an important part of the economy and a big draw for visitors.

First on my list is the *DFS Galleria, Guam’s Duty Free Shop.  It boasts a plethora of designer shops, all laid out in a very attractive mall setting.  It is worth visiting even if you cannot afford to buy.

*DFS Galleria – 643 Chalan San Antonio, Tamuning, Guam 96911.  Another bonus is the free shuttle from the major hotels to the mall.

JP Superstore – 1328 Pale San Vitores Rd, Tumon, Guam.   Similar to a department store, it’s the place to go for a wide array of souvenirs and gifts.   The store is also attached to the Guam Plaza Hotel.  McDonald’s and TGIF is right beside it.

Micronesia Mall – 1088 W. Marine Drive, Dededo, 96912.   The big pull here is MACY’s, but it’s a nice little mall where you can buy some good local stuff and souvenirs.

Guam Premier Outlet – 199 Chalan San Antonio Suite 200, Tamuning, Guam.  Nothing really special here.  Much like any other mall.

Agana Shopping Center – 3115 Agana Shopping Center, Route 4 O’Brien Dr., Hagatna, Agana, Guam 96932.  Similar to the Micronesia Mall with the same type of merchandise, etc.

ABC Stores – Manhattan Plaza, Sann Vitores Road, Barrigada, Guam 96913.  There are a few of these chain stores on the island of Guam.  They are small but nicely organized.
